There are very few people who make the kind of lasting impact that Mr. Pinckney does. His heart for mentoring young people is evident in everything he does. He has a special gift for connecting with kids, making them feel seen, heard, and valued. He takes the time to build genuine relationships based on trust, respect, and encouragement, and that means more to these children than words can express. He believes in every child, even when they may struggle to believe in themselves. He works tirelessly to help them recognize their strengths and potential.

Mr. Patrick Pinckney was a key contributor in implementing the Innovate Program in Florence School District 3.  The Innovate Program provided some of our most at-risk students a newfound sense of hope and achievement.  Mr. Pinckney ensured students were exposed to various career opportunities as well as unique certifications.  Students were afforded the opportunity to invigorate their thoughts and talents to become high school graduates and career seekers.  Moreover, students found themselves more confident and ready for the world that awaits them due to Mr. Pinckney's leadership and commitment to excellence.

Thank you so much for everything you have done for our students: listening to them, giving them strategies, and teaching them that success is possible with the right mindset. I have so many students who credit your listening ear and empathetic heart for the reason that they are still here, working towards their goals. You made them feel so heard, and that makes all the difference.

Mr. Patrick Pinckney has been a tremendous advocate and source of support for the youth of Lake City, South Carolina, and the surrounding communities. I have personally witnessed the difference his commitment has made in the lives of young people during my tenure as superintendent of Florence School District 3.

Mr. Pinckney understands that before we can fully address a student’s academic needs, we must also recognize and respond to the social, emotional, and personal challenges that can impact a child’s ability to learn. Through his leadership and dedication, he provided critical wraparound services that supported students beyond the classroom—helping them overcome barriers, build confidence, stay engaged in school, and achieve greater success.

His work demonstrated that when we support the whole child, we strengthen the student’s opportunity to achieve academically. The social and emotional supports Mr. Pinckney provided meaningfully impacted not only the well-being of the students he served, but also their academic outcomes.

Mr. Pinckney has a genuine heart for young people and a commitment to ensuring they have the support, encouragement, and resources necessary to succeed. His service has made a lasting difference in the lives of many students and families throughout Lake City and the surrounding area.
